The Time Loop: The Rescue

Dr. Lee felt a surge of hope when he heard Dr. Kim’s words. He wondered how they could bring him back to his original timeline.

“How can you bring me back?” he asked.

“By using the quantum communicator. It can not only send and receive signals but also transfer matter and energy across timelines. We can use it to transport you from your capsule to ours,” Dr. Kim said.

“Really? That’s amazing. How do we do that?” Dr. Lee asked.

“It’s simple. We just need to synchronize the devices and create a quantum tunnel between them. Then, we can send a signal to activate the transport mechanism, and you’ll be here in a flash,” Dr. Kim said.

“That sounds easy enough. What do I need to do?” Dr. Lee asked.

“Nothing much. Just sit tight and wait for my signal. I’ll tell you when to press the button on your helmet to initiate the transport,” Dr. Kim said.

“OK, I’ll do that. How long will it take?” Dr. Lee asked.

“Not long. Just a few minutes. We’re almost ready,” Dr. Kim said.

“OK, good. I’m looking forward to seeing you again,” Dr. Lee said.

“Me too, Dr. Lee. Me too,” Dr. Kim said.

Dr. Lee waited patiently in his capsule, feeling excitement and nervousness. He hoped that the plan would work and that he would be able to return to his original timeline.

He wondered what would happen to the parallel timeline he was in, and if anyone would ever notice his disappearance.

He wondered if there were other parallel timelines out there, where he had made different choices or experienced different outcomes.

He wondered if he would ever see them, or if he would ever want to.

He checked his watch and saw that it was 12:55 p.m.

He remembered that this was the time he was supposed to travel to in the first place.

He smiled, thinking that it was ironic.

He heard Dr. Kim’s voice coming from his helmet speaker.

“Dr. Lee, are you ready?” he asked.

“Yes, I’m ready,” Dr. Lee answered.

“OK, good. We’re going to start the transport now. On my count, press the button on your helmet,” Dr. Kim said.

“OK, I’ll do that,” Dr. Lee said.

“Three, two, one, now!” Dr. Kim said.

Dr. Lee pressed the button and felt another jolt of electricity.

He closed his eyes and hoped for the best.

To be continued…
